Your text is sent through Toolblip to the public LanguageTool API, which returns the matches. The checks are not run by a built-in rule list in your browser, so the results depend on that external service.
Is my text stored?
Toolblip forwards the text for checking and does not save it. LanguageTool's own terms apply to its public API, so avoid pasting sensitive content you would not send to a third-party service.
Can I apply the suggested fixes directly?
Yes, each issue lists up to three replacement options as buttons, and clicking one swaps it into your text at that exact spot.
What happens if the grammar service is unreachable?
It shows a connection error instead of a silent failure or a fake result. The public service can also be busy or rate-limited, so wait a moment and try again.
What are the limits?
English (en-US) only, up to 20,000 characters per check.
Does it rewrite my text?
No. It lists matches for you to accept or ignore. Some are style suggestions, and it does not judge meaning or check facts.
